I just saw this floating about on tumblr and honestly this makes me so angry. I wasn’t there from the start, does that make me any less of a fan of the boys? Does that mean I am not part of the 5sos family? I am not ashamed to admit I became a fan around the time SLSP came out, but I don’t think that makes me less of a fan than those who have been around for 2 years. I thought the 5SOS family was all about accepting each other and it actually makes me really angry to see that people are saying they’re more of a fan of them just because they’ve known about them longer. Guess what, I think some of you need to grow the fuck up. 

I am honestly so unbelievably proud of what they have achieved in the last six months, and these boys are living their god damn dream. They have worked their asses off to get to where they are and to be accepted by the music industry and surely playing at a major American music award show is being accepted by the music industry? We should all be celebrating the fact that they are doing something that some of the artists they aspire to be like can only dream of doing. And I think it’s actually quite disgusting how all some fans can focus on is how 5SOS will no longer be their little secret and that more people will like 5SOS. These boys want to share their music with everyone and it’s so selfish for those people to get upset by this.

Anyways, rant over. I just know that these boys are gonna be the biggest band in the world some day and we should all be mighty proud of that.
